1. The service
Formulatlas provides regulatory screening of formulas and labels, Safety Data Sheets, regulatory documents, specialist reviews and an online workspace for formulated products. Free screening summaries are automated aids. They are not legal advice and not a full regulatory review. Signed reviews and documents are prepared by a regulatory specialist from the information you provide; you are responsible for making sure that information is complete and accurate.
2. Accounts
You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that mailbox secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. Free SDS allowances are per company; please don't create extra accounts to get more.
3. Prices, tax and payment
- Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Sales tax is calculated at checkout from your billing address and shown before you confirm.
- You can pay by US bank account (ACH) with no fee, or by credit card with a card processing surcharge, shown as its own line before you pay. The surcharge never exceeds our cost of card acceptance or the limits set by card networks and law, and isn't applied where the law doesn't allow it.
- A purchase counts once the payment is confirmed. Bank payments can take up to 4 business days.
- If another provider offers the same service for less, we'll match the price; see the price-match section on our pricing page.
4. Plans and renewal
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and your plan stays active until then. Unused monthly allowances don't carry over.
5. Refunds
- One-time services (SDSs, label reviews, screenings, packages): a full refund if you cancel before we start the work. Once delivered, we'll correct any error in our work at no charge; refunds after delivery are at our discretion.
- SDS credits: unused credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase.
- Annual plans: a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the first payment. After that, no partial refunds; the plan runs to the end of the year.
- Monthly plans: no partial-month refunds.
- Charges made in error are always refunded in full.
Refunds go back to the original payment method, including the card surcharge and tax, and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the formulas, documents and lists you provide. You give us permission to use them only to provide the services you request. We keep them confidential, and we never reuse them for anyone else. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break security, overload the site, scrape our content or materials library, resell free allowances, or upload material you don't have the right to share.
8. Liability
Regulations change and depend on facts we may not have. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; we'll update the date above and email account holders about significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
